Why CovidLock ?

When objects pass through the CovidLock chamber, their surface is illuminated by UV-C radiation, which neutralizes the pathogenic microbes located there. CovidLock is designed to act as a lock to transfer objects between two isolated outer areas, which is potentially dangerous and internally safe closest to the user.


UV-C radiation at a specific dose used in CovidLock effectively neutralizes microbes including viruses such as SARS-CoV-2.


The processor system used controls all operating parameters of the device, including UV irradiation dose dosing and automation of opening and closing the lock.


Processor-controlled blinds protect the user from harmful UV rays. The blinds automatically close and open the lock at the push of a button, performing a full sterilization of the items in the lock.


CovidLock does not require any work related to the configuration or installation of any drivers. The device is programmed at the factory and the user simply plugs in the socket and starts using it after purchasing the device.


The CovidLock housing is made of solid powder-coated metal sheet. It has been specially designed to be used as a lock to sterilize objects when they are transferred from the “dirty” zone to the “clean” zone.


Standard dimensions (especially a width slightly smaller than 60 cm) allow you to fit the device into an existing furniture body. It is ideal for installation in the counter, e.g. in pharmacies or at the post office. Special drains at the top of the case allow it to be built-in.


The device does not require the use of any liquid disinfectants. Sterilization is carried out by UV-C radiation, the source of which are UV lamps, the service life of which is very long.


For more than 10 years, Avers Screens has been controlling the quality of products at every stage of their life, from project preparation through implementation to completion of the production process.

The lock connecting clean and dirty zones

The division into inner and outer zones is natural and can be arranged by the CovidLock holder anywhere. The boundary separating the zones can be a wall, a glass or a wall of buildings. The boundary can also be contractual, the choice remains the responsibility of the owner of CovidLock. The lock should be installed at the boundary of defined zones and used to transfer items, whereby the movement of objects can take place in any direction during the cycle.
Control of the operation of the lock is possible only by users staying in the inner zone, users staying in the external zone have only the ability to transfer or receive items passing through the lock.

UV barrier

The installed CovidLock device in the zone boundary allows you to transfer any items to the inner zone.

External zone also called dirty

A zone where there is a risk of contamination with a virus. It can be a pharmacy hall or a room at the post office where the people from outside are staying.


UV radiation is dangerous for humans, plants and animals. The design of the lock prevents the radiation generated by UV lamps from getting out. Lamps are activated only after the entrance and exit doors of the lock have been completely closed.

UV sterilization

Electromagnetic radiation with a wavelength in the range 100-280nm is called UV-C radiation. Thanks to its high energy, it is capable of tearing the DNA chains of living organisms, which in turn leads to their death. In the case of higher multicellular organisms, damage affects only cells in the upper layers of the body, while in the case of single-celled organisms and viruses, death affects the whole organism. UV radiation easily penetrates through gases (including, of course, atmospheric air), while the degree of its penetration through solids is very limited, even if they are transparent (e.g. an effective barrier to UV radiation is ordinary window glass). In practice, this means that the effectiveness of UV radiation can be limited for objects whose surface is not smooth.

What UV doses neutralize germs?

Pathogenic microbes are characterized by different susceptibility to UV radiation. This means that the complete neutralization of different microbes requires different doses of UV radiation.

Avers Screens 

The company started operations in 1996 as a Polish distributor of projection screens, presentation furniture and presentation accessories.
In 2000, in response to the growing demand of the market, the production of its own devices and accessories was launched.
Avers products have always had a value for money that exceeds customers’ expectations.
